How To Get Here

East Jefferson County is perched on the northeast corner of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, at the base of the Olympic Mountain range.

Chimacum, Port Hadlock, and Marrowstone Island are all located about 10 minutes from each other, and are just an hour and a half drive and 30 minute ferry ride from Seattle.

From downtown Seattle via the Bainbridge Island Ferry

  • Take the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry to Bainbridge Island.
  • Take State Route SR305 north/west about 13 miles (past Poulsbo) to SR3 north and follow the signs 7 miles to the Hood Canal Bridge.
  • Take a left and cross the Hood Canal Bridge.
  • In 5 miles turn right on SR19 (Beaver Valley Rd.) toward Port Townsend/Chimacum/Port Hadlock/Marrowstone.
  • Travel 22 miles to the town of Chimacum.


From Seattle and points north, via the Edmonds Ferry

  • Take the Edmonds-Kingston ferry to Kingston.
  • Leaving the ferry, take Hwy 3 and take a right on to Hwy 104 to go through Port Gamble.
  • Take a right to stay on Hwy 104 and cross the Hood Canal Bridge.
  • In 5 miles turn right on SR19 (Beaver Valley Rd.) toward Port Townsend/Chimacum/Port Hadlock/Marrowstone.
  • Travel 22 miles to the town of Chimacum.


From Tacoma, and points south

  • Take SR16 over the Narrows Bridge toward Bremerton.
  • Take SR3 north and follow the signs to the Hood Canal Bridge.
  • Take a left and cross the Hood Canal Bridge.
  • In 5 miles turn right on SR19 (Beaver Valley Rd.) toward Port Townsend/Chimacum/Port Hadlock/Marrowstone.
  • Travel 22 miles to the town of Chimacum.
